My Take

I have this ranked in the upper class of Johnston County golf courses and in one of my more recent posts, I actually put it number 1, although I feel this golf course, Neuse country club and Pine Hollow all to be in a very close race.  The hole 6 par 3 to me is beautiful and on the back 9 the locals call holes 12, 13 and 14 the “Gauntlet”, where the goal is to just not blow you’re round.  Hole 13 is another beauty with the water on your right.  It’s not overly punishing so as long as you’re not having a completely off day you should be able to keep the ball in play.  The owner and pro here are really nice guys as well.  For the price (especially compared to Raleigh courses) I feel it’s a great play and they have something called “The players club” that can even shave more $$ off your round for a better deal.  Worth exploring.
